Product information

This is a really rewarding plant we’ve grown on our Thurning ground, prized for its exceptionally long flowering season. From early summer right through to the first frosts, it produces a continuous supply of elegant, creamy-white flowers. Each one is shaped like a miniature lily, with a creamy throat and beautiful dark speckling inside, held on sturdy stems above the leaves.

It forms a tidy, dense clump of mid-green, lance-shaped leaves, reaching no more than 40cm in height. This compact, mounded habit makes it a reliable choice that won’t get out of hand. It performs best in a sheltered spot in full sun or partial shade, planted in fertile, moist soil that has good drainage. Heavy, waterlogged soils should be avoided, especially in winter.

For the best display, feed weekly with a high-potassium feed during the summer. A key tip for care is to never cut the flower stems. Instead, once a flower fades, pull the entire stem firmly and cleanly from the base of the plant. This encourages new growth and many more flowers. It’s an excellent choice for long-lasting cut flowers for the house.
