Product information
‘The Bride’ is one of the best flowering cherries for a smaller garden. Pink buds open to single pure white flowers, each with a central cluster of deep red anthers, and the whole tree flowers so heavily in mid-spring that the branches almost disappear under blossom.
It makes a small, rounded, deciduous tree to around 2.5 to 3m tall and wide, so it fits in a front garden, a courtyard, or a large pot. It holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit and is marked as Perfect for Pollinators.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Minimal pruning needed, just remove any damaged or crossing wood in midsummer to avoid silver leaf.
A firm favourite for the centre of a small lawn or framing a seating area, where the spring show really gets to shine.
