Product information
We’ve found this to be a really reliable performer on the nursery, flowering in its first year. ‘Dottie White’ produces strong, upright stems crowded with pure white flowers. Each bloom has a distinctively speckled throat which guides the bees right inside. Unlike some of the taller foxgloves, this one has a more compact habit that stops it from flopping.
This variety typically reaches between 0.6 and 0.9 metres in height, with a spread of about 35cm. It has an upright growth habit. For the best results, plant it in a spot with full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. A basal rosette of green leaves forms the base of the plant.
Foxgloves are generally easy to care for. To encourage a second, smaller flush of flowers, you can cut back the main flower spike after it has bloomed. Its neat size makes it a great fit for the middle of a border or for adding a vertical accent to container displays.
