Product information
‘White Angel’ is a crabapple that earns its keep in every season. Masses of fragrant pure white flowers open from pink buds in mid-spring, smothering the tree in blossom for a couple of weeks.
The glossy dark green leaves turn through yellow tones in autumn, and the small glossy red fruits hang on through winter, feeding the birds long after the leaves have dropped. It has a tidy upright, vase-shaped habit, eventually reaching around 6 to 7m.
Plant in full sun in any reasonable garden soil that doesn’t waterlog. It’s known for good disease resistance, which is a real bonus with crabapples.
Brilliant as a small specimen tree, a lawn feature, or anywhere you’d like blossom in spring and fruit in winter.
