Product information
This is a real breakthrough in thrift breeding, and one we’ve brought in for its exceptionally long flowering season. From our perennial tunnels, we see the first deep purple, pom-pom flowers appear in late spring and they just keep coming right through to autumn. The globe-shaped flower heads are held on strong, upright stems, attracting plenty of bees and other pollinators.
It forms a neat, mounded clump of dark green, grass-like foliage that typically reaches about 30cm in height and spread. ‘Dreameria Vivid Dreams’ is a tough plant that thrives in full sun and requires well-drained soil. It isn’t fussy about soil type, but good drainage is key, as foliage can rot in heavy, wet clays.
Once established on our Thurning ground, we find it needs little water. To get the best performance and encourage more flowers, just remove the spent flower stems once a month or so. Its compact habit makes it perfect for rock gardens, gravel beds, and coastal gardens, or for spilling over the edges of pots.
