Product information

This is one of the most popular strawberry varieties grown commercially in the UK, and for good reason. The fruit has a superb flavour and the plants give a high yield of glossy, firm berries from mid-June to mid-July. We’ve kept this one on for years because it’s such a reliable cropper.

Plants are vigorous and will reach a height and spread of about 30cm. They do best in a sheltered spot in full sun, planted in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. If your soil is heavy, consider growing in raised beds or containers to ensure good drainage.

After fruiting has finished, cut back the old foliage to encourage fresh new growth and remove any runners you don’t want for new plants. A good mulch of straw around the plants as the fruit develops will keep the berries clean.
