Product information
We’ve been really impressed with the ‘Dreameria’ series in our perennial tunnels, and ‘Dreamland’ is a standout for its incredibly long flowering season. It produces masses of globe-shaped, salmon-pink flowers held on strong, upright stems above a neat cushion of grassy, dark green leaves. Unlike older varieties, it just keeps going, often from late spring right through to the first frosts if you trim off the spent blooms.
This is a compact, mound-forming plant, reaching about 30cm in height and spread. It’s an evergreen, so the tidy clump of foliage provides interest all year round. ‘Dreamland’ needs a spot in full sun and, most importantly, well-drained soil. It’s not fussy about soil type and is very tolerant of dry spells and coastal conditions once it’s established.
For the best performance, just trim off the old flower stalks as they fade to encourage more to appear. It’s a low-maintenance plant that works wonderfully in gravel gardens, containers, or tucked into the front of a border where its long season of colour can be appreciated. The bees and butterflies are certainly fans of it on the nursery.
