Product information

We’ve grown this one for a few years on the nursery and it’s a firm favourite for its long season of colour. The flowers of ‘Inticancha Sunstar’ are a lovely lilac-purple, with bright yellow inner petals that are delicately flecked with black. It’s a compact variety that forms a tidy clump, flowering for months on end.

This is a smaller Peruvian Lily, reaching about 40cm tall. It forms a spreading clump of dark green, lance-shaped leaves. For the best results, plant it in a sheltered spot in full sun with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It’s happy in chalk, loam or sand.

To keep the flowers coming, there’s a special trick. Instead of cutting the spent flower spikes, grip them low down and pull them firmly from the base. This encourages a new flower spike to grow. We recommend adding a good thick mulch for the first couple of winters to protect the roots.
