Papaver nudicaule ‘Panama Mix’

‘Panama Mix’ is a colourful selection of Iceland poppies, with large cup-shaped, papery-petalled flowers in a mix of red, orange, yellow, pink, cream and white. Slender wiry stems hold the blooms above fresh grey-green rosettes, and each stem produces a succession of flowers through the season.

Short-lived as a perennial, often grown as a biennial or short-lived annual. Plants reach around 30 to 40cm in flower, forming a tidy clump that works well at the front of a border or in a container.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the display. Self-seeds gently if left to go over at the end of the season.

A firm favourite for a cottage border, cutting garden, or mixed patio planting for cheerful spring and early summer colour.
