Product information
We’ve been impressed with this one in our tunnels. ‘Dreameria Dreamland’ is a real breakthrough, flowering for a much longer season than older types of Thrift. It produces masses of large, salmon to light-pink flowers held in neat, round clusters on strong stems. The flowers last well if you decide to cut a few for a small vase indoors.
This is a compact, mound-forming plant with grassy, dark green leaves that stay evergreen through winter. It will reach a height and spread of around 30cm. It absolutely needs well-drained soil to thrive, and prefers a spot in full sun. It’s not fussy about soil type and is a great choice for coastal gardens as it can handle a bit of salt in the air.
To get the best from it, just trim off the spent flower stalks, which will encourage more to appear. It doesn’t need much feeding; in fact, it does best in poorer soils. It’s a brilliant, low-maintenance choice for rockeries, filling gaps in sunny borders, or for a simple pot on the patio.
