Product information

‘The Fawn’ is a really unusual peony, with large fully double blooms in soft pink petals artistically speckled and striated with deeper rose tones, like a watercolour painting on silk. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Introduced in 1996 by breeder B.B. Wright, this cultivar has become a favourite for its distinctive speckled colouring and strong garden performance. Fragrant flowers are carried on sturdy stems above lush dark green divided foliage, reaching around 90cm.

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun, with the crown set no deeper than 5cm below soil level. Don’t move once established. Flowering in late spring to early summer.

A proper conversation piece for a cottage-garden border, a formal peony bed, or one for the cut-flower patch.
