Product information

‘Magic Fountains Cherry Blossom’ is a dwarf Pacific-type delphinium with sturdy compact growth that holds up to wind far better than the tall old forms. Tight flower spikes carry soft pink-white flowers with a contrasting white bee (the central cluster of petals) from June to July.

Plants reach around 75 to 90cm tall in flower with a spread of 45cm, compact enough not to need staking in sheltered spots. Foliage is deeply lobed fresh green.

Plant in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Protect young growth from slugs in spring. Cut back after flowering to encourage a possible second flush in autumn. All parts of the plant are toxic, so handle with gloves.

A firm favourite for a cottage-garden border, a sheltered mixed perennial bed, or a container display.
