Product information

A real favourite on the nursery for its clean, pure white flower spikes that just keep coming all summer long. ‘Lyrical White’ has a neat, clump-forming habit with grey-green leaves that are pleasantly aromatic. The flowers are a magnet for bees and butterflies, adding life and movement to the garden from June right through to the autumn months.

This Salvia forms a sturdy, bushy clump that typically reaches around 50-60cm in height and spread. It’s a reliable performer, happy in most well-drained soils and thriving in a spot that gets plenty of sunshine. Once it’s established in the ground, it’s reasonably drought tolerant, making it a low-maintenance choice for sunny, dry borders.

To keep the flowers coming, it’s a good idea to cut back the faded flower spikes. If the whole plant starts to look a bit tired in mid-summer, you can cut it back hard to encourage a fresh flush of leaves and a second wave of flowers. It’s a classic choice for cottage gardens, gravel gardens, or providing upright accents in pots.
