Product information
‘Strawberries and Cream’ is part of the Ice Cream series, bred for compact habit and long flowering. Pale creamy-pink tubular flowers are finely striped with red and open to reveal a deep red throat — properly pretty close up.
It reaches around 60 to 70cm, semi-evergreen with slender dark green leaves. Flowering runs from summer into autumn with regular deadheading.
Plant in full sun in moist but well-drained soil. Don’t cut it back in autumn — the old foliage helps protect the crown over winter. Cut back to the base in spring once new growth appears.
