Product information
‘Jack Frost’ is grown for the foliage more than the flowers, though both are a treat. Large heart-shaped leaves are dusted in silvery-white, with a fine network of dark green veins and a green rim — a true stained-glass effect that lights up a shady corner.
In April and May, airy sprays of small bright-blue, forget-me-not-like flowers rise above the leaves for 3 to 4 weeks. The plant reaches around 30 to 45cm tall and wide, slowly forming a tidy clump.
Plant in partial to full shade, in moist but well-drained soil. Holds its AGM from the RHS. Brilliant in woodland borders, shaded urban gardens, or as a groundcover drift under larger shrubs.
