Cineraria senetti red

The Senetti series is one of the best modern hybrid cinerarias, bred for earlier flowering, brighter colour and more flowers than the old forms. This one throws out masses of vivid red daisy flowers over a mound of bright green foliage.

Plants reach around 30 to 45cm and are absolutely smothered in flower from early spring onwards. Cut back after the first flush and you’ll usually get a second wave.

Plant in partial sun in moist, well-drained soil or a patio container with good compost. Keep it on the damp side, but not waterlogged. Treat as an annual in most of the UK, or move to a frost-free spot over winter to try a second year.

A proper hit of colour for pots, window boxes or the front step in those first warm weeks of spring.
