Erigeron glaucus ‘Sea Breeze Pink’

Erigeron glaucus is the beach aster, and ‘Sea Breeze Pink’ is one of the prettiest selections. Small pink daisy-like flowers with yellow eyes smother the plant from late spring through summer, held just above a dense mat of fleshy grey-green semi-evergreen leaves.

It stays low, around 20 to 25cm tall and spreading slowly to around 40cm wide. Happy trailing over low walls, carpeting a rockery, or filling gaps between paving.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Brilliantly tough against coastal sites, salty winds and dry sunny conditions. Trim back after the main flush to keep the mat fresh and encourage a second wave of flowers.

A firm favourite for coastal gardens, gravel beds, dry stone walls, and sunny border edges.
