Product information
‘Pink Pagoda’ is a standout rowan, a form of Hupeh rowan with broadly columnar habit and notably colourful berries. Clusters of white flowers in late spring give way to heavy bunches of rose-pink berries that fade paler through winter and hold well on the branches even as the leaves drop.
Pinnate blue-green leaves turn rich red-orange in autumn, framing the berry display beautifully. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Eventually reaches around 6m tall and 3m wide in 20 years.
Plant in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Tough and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
A lovely specimen tree for a small garden, a lawn feature, or a wildlife-friendly planting where birds will enjoy the berries.
