Product information
‘Princeton Gold’ is a vigorous golden-leaved Norway maple, bred in New Jersey for strong colour that doesn’t fade or scorch through summer. The broad palmate leaves emerge bright yellow-gold in spring and hold that colour through the season, a lot more saturated than most gold trees.
Forms a broadly columnar crown, eventually reaching around 12 to 14m tall. Tough and fast-growing, thriving in a wide range of soils. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Plant in moist well-drained soil, in sun for strongest colour, though partial shade helps protect leaves from scorch in hot exposed spots.
A cracking specimen for a large lawn, a street-side planting, or anywhere a bold golden tree earns its place through the year.
