Product information

We’ve kept this one on for years because it’s one of our most reliable flowering trees. In April, it produces an excellent display of large, bright pink semi-double to double flowers, each with an unusual dark eye. The flowers are fragrant and stand out well against the young leaves.

This is a small tree with a moderate growth rate, eventually forming a rounded crown. Over 20 years, you can expect it to reach about 5 metres in height. It prefers a spot in full sun or light, dappled shade and will do well in any fertile, well-drained soil. It’s a hardy choice for most UK gardens.

Little to no pruning is required, which makes it an easy tree to look after. Just remove any damaged or broken branches after it has flowered in summer. It’s a superb choice for a small garden where its spring flowers and fantastic autumn colour can be fully appreciated.
