Phlox subulata ‘White Delight’

‘White Delight’ is a vigorous creeping phlox forming a dense low mat of needle-fine evergreen green foliage, smothered in pure white five-petalled flowers from April into early summer.

Stays low at around 10 to 15cm tall, spreading steadily to fill gaps, trail over walls, or carpet a rockery. Much loved by early-season pollinators.

Plant in well-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun. Trim back after the main flush to keep the mat tight and encourage a few late flowers. Drought-tolerant and tough once established.

A firm favourite for sunny rockeries, gravel gardens, dry slopes, and the tops of retaining walls.
