The standout feature of Euphorbia characias ‘Silver Edge’ is its striking foliage. Narrow leaves with creamy-white margins create a silver edge effect around grey-green centres. From late spring, upright stems bear lime-green bracts that glow in our Thurning nursery borders.
This clump-forming perennial grows to 1m tall and wide. It thrives in well-drained soil and full sun. Tolerates poor soils and coastal conditions too. Drought resistant once established.
Minimal care needed. Cut back flowered stems after bracts fade to keep tidy. Suits front of borders, gravel gardens or pots. Evergreen structure adds year-round interest.
