Product information

Berberis thunbergii ‘Orange Rocket’ stands out with its vivid orange-red leaves on a narrow column. The foliage emerges bright orange in spring. It keeps a strong red hue all summer. Small yellow flowers appear in spring. Red berries follow for birds in autumn.

This compact barberry grows to 1.2m tall by 0.6m wide. It forms a dense, upright habit. Plant in any well-drained soil. Full sun gives best colour. It copes with partial shade too.

Prune after flowering to shape. It tolerates poor soils and drought once established. From our Thurning grounds near Peterborough, it fits small gardens, front borders or containers.
