Product information
Philadelphus ‘Manteau d’Hermine’ brings a wave of fragrance from our Thurning nursery grounds each early summer. The double white flowers pack densely along the stems. Their sweet orange-blossom scent draws pollinators close. We see it light up cottage gardens here reliably.
This dwarf cultivar grows to 1.5m tall and wide. It forms a neat, rounded bush with upright habit. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil. It copes with full sun or partial shade. Tolerates chalky or clay soils once established.
Prune lightly after flowering to shape. Mulch in dry spells. It fits front borders, low hedges or containers. From our fields near Peterborough, it adds summer scent without taking much space.
