Phormium ‘Maori Queen’ catches the eye with its bold, sword-like foliage. The leaves emerge with vivid pink edges in spring, maturing to stripes of pink, cream and green. This evergreen stands out year-round in the garden.
It forms a clump up to 1.2m tall and 1m wide. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun brings out the brightest colours. Shelter from cold winds in our UK climate.
Minimal care needed once established. Cut out old leaves at the base in spring. Suits coastal gardens, modern borders or large containers at our Thurning nursery.
