Product information
‘Alba’ is the pure white form of Liatris spicata, with tall upright spikes of fluffy white tufted flowers opening from the top downwards in midsummer. Just as tough, just as much loved by pollinators as the standard purple form, and a lovely counterpart in a mixed colour scheme.
Plants reach around 60 to 90cm tall in flower. Grassy green basal foliage in neat clumps.
Plant corms in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Drought-tolerant once established. Cut back stems in autumn.
A firm favourite for a pollinator border, prairie scheme, cut flower patch, or cottage garden.
