‘Fanship Blue’ is the blue-flowered sibling in the Fan series. Compact upright spikes carry rich purple-blue tubular flowers from mid-summer, lifting above a mound of dark green foliage flushed with purple tones.
Plants reach around 60cm tall and form a vigorous clump with a long flowering run. Brilliant for pollinators, especially bumblebees.
Plant in moist, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. These lobelias love damp conditions, so they’ll sit happily near water or in a bed that stays moist. Mulch over the crown for winter protection in colder gardens.
A firm favourite for a damp border, a pond edge, or a cool-colour scheme alongside grasses and rudbeckias.
