Product information

‘Purrsian Blue’ is a tidier, more compact catmint than the old sprawling forms. Densely packed upright spikes carry small blue flowers with dark purple calyxes, held over a neat mound of grey-green toothed aromatic leaves from summer into autumn.

Plants reach around 45cm tall and spread to twice that by the second year, forming a dense rounded clump that holds its shape well without flopping. A magnet for bees and butterflies, drought-tolerant, deer-resistant.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Very low-maintenance, just shear back after the main flush to encourage a second wave of flowers.

A firm favourite for the front of a border, path-edging, gravel gardens, cottage-style schemes, and underplanting roses.
