Product information
‘Worcester Pearmain’ is a famous English early apple raised in 1874, widely grown for generations for its bright red colour and crisp juicy flesh with an unmistakable strawberry flavour. Fruits are best eaten straight off the tree in September, as they don’t keep long.
Reliable heavy cropper. Partially self-fertile, crops heavier with a compatible pollination partner. Pretty pink-white blossom in April. A good pollinator for other early apples.
Plant in full sun in fertile well-drained soil. Winter-prune for framework.
A proper heritage choice for a kitchen garden, family orchard, or trained espalier.
