Product information
‘Pink Perfection’ is one of the great Japanese flowering cherries, bred from ‘Shimidsu Sakura’ and Kanzan. Large clusters of fully-double rose-pink flowers open in late April to early May, bouncing along arching branches like pink rosettes. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Bronze-tinted young leaves emerge with the flowers and mature to glossy green through summer, finishing with warm yellow and orange autumn colour. Vigorous upright habit when young, becoming more spreading, reaching around 8m tall and wide.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Prune only in midsummer, to avoid silver leaf.
A proper specimen tree for a front garden, a lawn corner, or a focal point in a large mixed border.
