What truly sets ‘StarWars’ apart is its dazzling tri-coloured foliage; new growth emerges with an attractive reddish-brown hue, maturing into a striking blend of creamy yellow and vibrant green. During the colder months, these glossy leaves deepen to rich bronze tones, ensuring captivating interest throughout the year. We’ve observed it performing wonderfully, creating a lush, textured backdrop even when not in flower.

For optimal growth, we recommend planting ‘StarWars’ in a sheltered spot that receives full sun to partial shade, protecting it from harsh winter winds. It thrives in fertile, well-drained soil, and while it’s adaptable, consistent moisture during establishment is key. Once settled, it becomes quite drought-tolerant. This cultivar is considered half-hardy, capable of withstanding temperatures down to approximately -5°C, but in colder, frost-prone areas, we suggest providing some winter protection or growing it in a container that can be moved.

Throughout the summer, from June to September, ‘StarWars’ is adorned with clusters of beautifully scented, star-shaped white flowers that fill the air with a delightful jasmine-like fragrance. To maintain its neat habit and encourage continuous vigour, we advise reducing stems after flowering to restrict growth to the available space.
