Product information
Photinia x fraseri ‘Red Robin’ catches the eye with its vivid red young foliage in spring. The leaves hold colour for weeks before turning deep green. White flowers appear in clusters during late spring. Berries may follow in autumn if pollinated.
This shrub grows to 3-4m tall and wide with a dense, bushy habit. It thrives in fertile, well-drained soil. Give it full sun to partial shade. Shelter from cold, drying winds protects the foliage at our Thurning nursery.
Prune after flowering to encourage fresh red shoots. It suits informal hedges, screens or large containers. Evergreen structure holds the garden together through winter.
