Product information
‘Drummond Pink’ is a vigorous carpeting phlox that smothers itself in bright pink five-petalled flowers from April into early summer. The needle-fine evergreen foliage forms a dense low mat around 10 to 15cm tall that spreads steadily to fill gaps.
Happy trailing over low walls, carpeting a rockery, or filling the front row of a border. Much loved by early-season pollinators.
Plant in well-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun. Trim back after the main flush of flowers to keep the mat tight and encourage a few late flowers. Very tough and drought-tolerant once established.
A firm favourite for sunny rockeries, gravel gardens, dry slopes, and the tops of retaining walls where it can cascade.
