Product information
‘Concorde’ is a modern English pear raised in 1977, a cross of Conference and Doyenne du Comice, giving reliability from one parent and flavour from the other. Medium fruits ripen greenish-yellow with occasional russeting, with sweet juicy white flesh and good Comice-style aromatics. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Self-fertile and compact, cropping reliably from a young age. Fruits ripen in October. White blossom in April. Good disease resistance.
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Winter-prune for framework.
A firm favourite for small kitchen gardens, family orchards, and trained espalier forms.
