Spiraea ‘Arguta’

This bridal wreath spiraea earns its name with clusters of tiny white blooms covering the stems. Flowers emerge in profusion during late spring. We see it light up our borders at the Thurning ground each year.

It grows to 2m tall and spreads 2.5m wide. The habit is upright then arching. It thrives in any moist but well-drained soil. Full sun to partial shade suits it best.

Prune after flowering to keep it tidy. Plant in mixed borders or as an informal hedge. It works well near Peterborough in our heavy soils.
