Buddleja butterfly candy little lila

Buddleja ‘Butterfly Candy Little Lila’ is a dwarf cultivar bred to bring the charm of butterfly bush into compact spaces. The flowers open in soft lilac-pink shades, attracting pollinators throughout the warmer months. Unlike taller buddlejas, this selection stays manageable without becoming invasive.

This cultivar reaches around 1 to 1.5 metres in height and spreads similarly, making it suitable for containers as well as garden borders. It thrives in full sun and tolerates most well-drained soils, including poor ground. Growth is moderate to vigorous once established, and the plant responds well to regular watering during dry spells.

Hard prune in late winter to encourage a compact, bushy framework and promote flowering. The plant suits mixed borders, patio pots, and smaller gardens where traditional butterfly bushes would overwhelm. Deadhead spent flower spikes to extend the display into autumn.
