Product information

‘Beauty of Bath’ is one of the earliest dessert apples, raised in Bath in the 1860s. Small-to-medium flat fruits ripen yellow flushed and striped bright crimson-red, with crisp juicy white flesh with a distinctive sweet aromatic flavour. Fruits are ready to eat in late July into early August.

Heavy cropper, though fruits don’t keep well, so eat them fresh or process quickly. Pretty white-pink blossom in mid spring. Not self-fertile, so plant with a compatible pollination partner.

Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Prune in winter for framework. A heritage choice for anyone who wants the earliest apples of the year.

A firm favourite for a heritage kitchen garden, a family orchard, or a traditional cottage garden.
