Product information
This is a real gem for smaller gardens and one we’ve kept on for years. In early spring, drooping clusters of soft pink flowers emerge just as the new bronze foliage begins to unfurl. It’s a lovely, graceful display to kick off the season.
The leaves mature to a solid green through summer before putting on their final show, turning to fiery shades of orange and red in autumn. It has an average growth rate and a modest, bushy form, reaching about 4 metres tall. For the best results, plant it in full sun in any moist, well-drained soil.
It’s a hardy and low-maintenance tree. We suggest giving it a light prune in summer, just to keep an open shape and remove any damaged or diseased branches. Its compact size makes it a great choice where space is tight, and it can even be grown in a large pot on the patio.
