Product information
‘Lake Como’ is one of the Salgoon series salvias, a group bred for sturdy branching and a long flowering run. Upright spikes carry electric blue tubular flowers emerging from near-black calyxes, giving you that brilliant two-tone effect.
The plant stays compact, around 45cm tall and wide, with shiny aromatic dark green leaves. Bees love it.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Drought and heat tolerant once established, so it shrugs off a warm dry summer. Deadhead regularly to keep the flowers coming from early spring into late autumn. Cut back in early spring.
A brilliant pot plant for a sunny terrace, or near the front of a border where the flower colour can really punch.
