Product information

‘Hot Stuff’ is a dwarf border stonecrop with serious colour. Broad flat flowerheads in hot pink-red open in late summer and early autumn over mounds of fleshy grey-green succulent foliage. Bees, butterflies and late-flying pollinators work the flowers tirelessly.

Plants stay compact at around 25 to 30cm tall, a proper dwarf form compared to the old-style tall Sedum spectabile. The seedheads hold shape into winter, providing structure and bird food.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Drought-tolerant, pest-resistant and very low-maintenance once settled. Divide clumps every few years if they get congested.

A firm favourite for a late-summer border, front-of-bed planting, a gravel garden, or a pollinator-focused scheme.
