Product information
‘Prinz Heinrich’ is one of the classic Japanese anemones, with semi-double deep rose-pink flowers opening in succession on branched wiry stems from August right through into October. The contrasting ring of yellow stamens in the centre sets off the darker pink petals beautifully.
Plants reach around 75 to 90cm in flower, with clumps of fresh green trifoliate leaves at the base. Spreads steadily by rhizomes once settled, so it’s happy to form a drift.
Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Takes a while to establish, then becomes long-lived and reliable. Cut back dead stems in late autumn.
A firm favourite for a cottage-garden border, a shady back bed, or under trees and larger shrubs.
