Callistemon ‘Mini Red’

‘Mini Red’ is a smaller, tidier bottlebrush than the usual forms. It keeps a compact bushy shape and carries the classic bright red bottlebrush flower spikes through summer, loved by bees.

It’s well suited to a large container on a sunny patio, which is often the safest way to grow callistemons in the UK.

Plant in well-drained, non-alkaline soil in full sun, in a sheltered position. It’s on the tender side, hardy to around minus 5, so container growing lets you move it to shelter in the hardest weather.

Perfect for a south-facing patio or courtyard where it can soak up the warmth.
