Penstemon hartwegii ‘Arabesque Orchid’

‘Arabesque Orchid’ is an F1 hybrid penstemon bred for showy flowers and a tidy, free-flowering habit. Bell-shaped blooms in dusky pink to dark pink open in summer, each with a clean white throat.

It reaches around 45 to 60cm, clump-forming and upright. Flowering runs well into autumn if you deadhead. Good at the front of a mixed border or in a container.

Plant in full sun in moist but well-drained soil. Cut back in spring rather than autumn — the old foliage helps protect the crown over winter.
