Syringa meyeri ‘Pink Perfume’

‘Bloomerang Pink Perfume’ is a modern dwarf lilac that reblooms through the year. A massive flush of sweetly scented star-like pink flowers covers the shrub in mid to late spring, followed by smaller repeat flushes from midsummer through autumn after a rest period.

It forms a compact rounded shrub around 1.2 to 1.5m tall and wide, with good disease resistance. Bred from Syringa meyeri ‘Palibin’ crossed with S. microphylla ‘Superba’.

Plant in full sun in fertile, humus-rich, alkaline to neutral, moist well-drained soil. Thrives in chalk. Pruning isn’t needed for reblooming, but a light trim after the spring flush encourages the repeat flower display.

A firm favourite for foundation plantings, mixed borders, small gardens and containers where scent can be enjoyed for months.
