Product information

We’ve found this to be a really dependable performer on our nursery. Achillea ‘New Vintage White’ produces masses of flat-topped, pure white flower clusters with creamy centres. The flowers are held on upright stems above attractive, ferny grey-green leaves and keep their colour well through the summer. It’s a favourite for bees and butterflies.

This is a compact and upright plant, reaching about 30-35cm (12-14 inches) in height. It prefers a spot in full sun and needs well-drained soil to thrive, performing well even in poor, dry soils. Once it’s established on our Thurning ground, we find it very drought tolerant. It’s a good choice for those hot, sunny spots where other plants might struggle.

To keep the flowers coming, it’s best to deadhead the spent blooms. You can cut the plant back hard after the first main flush of flowers to encourage fresh growth and more blooms. It’s a classic for a cottage garden style, works well in gravel plantings, and is brilliant for attracting wildlife.
