Product information
‘Emerald Cushion Blue’ forms a dense cushion of needle-fine evergreen green foliage, smothered in masses of lavender-blue five-petalled flowers from April into early summer. A lovely softer blue than some of the strong mauves in the group.
Stays low at around 10 to 15cm tall, spreading steadily to carpet a rockery or trail over a low wall. Much loved by early-season pollinators.
Plant in well-drained moderately fertile soil in full sun. Trim back after main flush to keep the cushion tight. Drought-tolerant and tough once established.
A firm favourite for sunny rockeries, gravel gardens, dry slopes, and the tops of retaining walls.
